PORTFOLIO
GUIDELINES
The portfolio
consists of two items to turn in by the date specified, to the
World Languages and Hispanic Literature Administrative
Coordinator's Office (UH 221) by a specified date:
1. A graded
composition or paper, written in Spanish, of at least 500 words
from an upper division Spanish class. The paper must have
received a grade of at least a B- and must be signed by the
professor who graded it.
If the student does
not have such a paper available to turn in, he/she will consult
the appropriate faculty advisor* and arrange to go to the
Language Learning Center to write a composition on an assigned
topic, during a specified period (see below).
2. A signed form
(to pick up in the Foreign Language's office) signed by a
Spanish faculty member, that attests to the student's oral
competence at Spanish 311 or higher level.
If the student is
unable to obtain this verification of oral competence from a
faculty member, he/she will consult the appropriate faculty
advisor* and arrange to do an audiotape at the Language Learning
Center, on an assigned topic, during a specified period (see
below).
Portfolio dates to
be announced.
