Please use the following checklist to assure us that you have completed the tasks
required for application to our Master's program.
The following materials have been sent to Ms. Oneita Billings, Admin. Coordinator, Modern Language Studies Department, Cal State San Marcos, San Marcos, CA 92096-0001:
FORMCHECKBOX a copy of all my official college transcripts. (These must be received directly from the registrar's offices of all colleges you have attended or from Oneita Billings if you are a CSUSM undergraduate. They cannot be received from you.)
FORMCHECKBOX a completed departmental application form (that’s this form)
FORMCHECKBOX three letters of recommendation, or three names of CSUSM Faculty members for those who did their undergraduate work at CSUSM.
FORMCHECKBOX Writing Sample in of at least 7 pages. The writing sample should be in Spanish and should deal with some aspect of Hispanic Literature, culture or linguistics.
FORMCHECKBOX An audio or video taped speech sample, in which the applicant speaks in Spanish for at least 5 minutes on the topic of his/her choice.
FORMCHECKBOX Statement of purpose on a separate sheet(s) of paper (see #18 on page 3). It is preferred that the Statement of Purpose be written in English.
FORMCHECKBOX Ranked List of in order of student interest of the Spanish MA options.
FORMCHECKBOX A copy of GRE (Graduate Record Exam) scores - www.ets.org or approximate date when you will take the exam
