Elementary M&M Student Programs: Students in most elementary programs serve as troubleshooters for technical equipment. They also are trained in maintenance and installation of software. Training is planned as needed in order to facilitate students in meeting the needs of the school.

Middle School and Specialty M&M Student Programs: The following were groups for a middle school elective class at L. R. Green:

Home Page Group: This group will review our existing home page at http://www.escusd.k12.ca.us/LRG/green.html at suggest additions and/or modifications. The students in this group will look at code for home pages, decide on revisions and/or additions to the page and make the necessary updates. It is important to think about design and content for school web pages. Make sure that the group looks at other school web pages to study layout and design. Scan and create web pages for student work.

MIDI: This group will learn to use the MIDI Keyboard with a computer to play music. They will teach and demonstrate to other classes at at all grade levels at our school.

Robotics: This group learns how to use LogoWriter software on a computer to program Lego robotics. Students will read manuals and work collaboratively to prepare presentations for first grade classrooms at our school.

MOO: This group will learn online netiquette and how to get around in a virtual community online. They will each design a character, draw a map and learn programming in this Object Oriented environment as they collaborate with other students and educators that are at remote locations.

Email: This group will work with setting up and maintaining accounts on the campus. They will learn email protocol and explore techniques for saving and managing mail on disks and computers at our school . They will set up projects for classrooms for projects over the Internet.

Multimedia: This team will explore how to put HyperStudio projects online. They will create projects for lower grades and use media integration with laser disc, scanner, QuickTake, animation and video in student projects. They will visit other classrooms and schools to present.

Manuals: This group will revise current technology instruction manuals adding graphics and additional resources. They will also assist in classrooms.

Tech Experts: This team will troubleshoot and learn to install and maintain equipment with assistance from our L. R. Green School Computer Technician.

Videoconferencing: This team will explore techniques to communicate with experts and other schools through technology equipment and CUSeeMe software. They will assist in special classroom projects.
