Participants will:
  • learn about videoconferencing in education.
  • participate in a videoconference with California Parks Program.
  • participate in a videoconference with Region IX High Speed Network Leader.
  • brainstorm uses of videoconferencing in the classroom.
  • create a podcast as a followup activity to a videoconference session.

Introduction:
Videoconferencing connects teachers and students to expertise and resources not available in the classroom. In this session, teachers will participate in a videoconferencing with a Park Ranger from the California Parks program and leaders in the California Digital Highspeed Network. Discussions will provide insight into strategies for implementing videoconferencing in the classroom.
