Goals of presentation
To provide frameworks for discussing the aspects of
verbal and non-verbal interaction during a video conferencing session that
are influenced by distance technology (Transactional Distance, Filters,
Forced Interaction, Presence/Presence Model).
To plan for near-end and far-end interactivity as a means of facilitating
communication during a video conferencing session (3 Strategy Sets: re.
Filters, interaction, and presence).

Sherry Wulff
Sherry Wulff is an Associate Professor in the
Professional Communication Department and in the Instructional Design
track of the Master of Arts Program at Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI.
Along with Graduate and Undergraduate academic responsibilities, she
serves as the Media Technology Coordinator of the Professional
Communication Department and belongs to such professional associations
associated as Pi Lambda Theta (the National Honor Society and
Professional Education Association), American Educational Research
Association, National Communication Association, and the National
Council of Teachers of English. Professor Wulff is a Multiple Year
Honoree in the International Who's Who Among America's Teachers (1996,
2000, and 2001). Her research, publication, and presentation areas
include Guided Self-Directed Learning, Media and Technology Literacy,
Communication Presence. Service Learning, and Assessment.
