• Tacoma Narrows Bridge Collapse - Our your students studying structure and force? Take a gander at the Tacoma Narrows Bride disaster of November 1940. The bridge collapsed due to wind-induced vibrations. No longer a need to set up that movie projector when video streaming is available!

• Dogsled.Com - Live and archived 'Radio Iditarod' and 'Video Iditarod!' Students reading Jack London's 'Call of the Wild' or students following the Iditarod will enjoy these examples of streaming media. In 1925 an epidemic of diphtheria hit Nome, Alaska. Medicine was rushed from Nenama to Nome, about 675 miles by dog teams. The Iditarod Dogsled Race is held to commemorate the historic run.

• Exploratorium Webcasts - Join the fun at the San Francisco Exploratorium. Discover live webcasts and archived streaming video clips. Included is 'THE SCIENCE OF CHOCOLATE!'

• Library of Congress American Memory Viewer - 'The majority of American Memory collections can be seen and read without special viewers. Just as you need special equipment to play videotapes, cassettes, or CDs at home, you need special viewers to see and hear these historical materials.' This site has terrific information whether you are viewing the Library of Congress streaming media or another source for streaming media.
