In partnership with North County Professional Development Federation, CTAP Region IX, CTAP Online, San Diego County Office of Education, and over 22 school districts; California State University San Marcos invites you to participate in a year-long, 120 hour professional development program to enable the effective use of technology for teaching and learning.

ILAST meets district professional development needs by combining academic content and district prioritized instructional focus with technology training. In consultation with contributing school districts, ILAST Instructors customize 40 hours of instruction at regional institutes. Support continues within classrooms and local sites for 80 more hours to ensure participants' ability to apply technology to their own classroom and administrative settings. Now in its second year, ILAST provides customized curriculum in four areas:

Foundation                           for new participants

Project-Based                      for year two participants

Administration                     for principals, administrators and technology leaders

Mathematics /Technology   ILAST combined with AB 1331

ILAST accommodates individual learning styles and competing pressures of professional and personal time frames by providing multiple methods of instruction and promoting field-based and self-directed learning as essential elements of professional development. Through a personalized professional growth action plan, participants select from the following activities:

·        Multi-point videoconferences to connect participants with experts in their field

·        Support from mentors for onsite assistance and feedback

·        Extensive online staff development resources including discussion forums, courses and professional materials to promote collaboration, exchange of resources and reflective practice

·        A wide array of Saturday and evening ILAST workshops

Each participant who completes the 120 hours of ILAST will receive a stipend of  $1000. University credit is available from CSUSM. To register, submit an ILAST Team Application with Administrator’s Commitment Statement for Team Registration of $1000 (also individual registration of $250for admin & Math)
