Cost
| The cost of studying at CSU San Marcos
for 2008-09 is
$3,650 per
year for undergraduates and $4,358 per
year for
second bachelor's degree and graduate students
in university fees, plus $339 per unit in nonresident tuition. In order to remain in visa status, international students are required to
take a full course load, which is 12 units per semester for undergraduate
and second bachelor's degree students and 9 units per semester
for graduate students.
The following table provides an estimate of the cost
for a
full-time international student. These totals should be used as the basis for
the financial affidavit on the application form. (Please note that fees are subject to change without
notice):

The amounts shown represent the minimum required to maintain
full-time student status. International
undergraduate (including second bachelor's) students must enroll in a
minimum of 12 credits per semester, and graduate students must register
for a minimum of 9 credit units. Students are charged for a maximum of
30 units in one academic year (no charge for additional units), so the maximum
nonresident tuition for any academic
year is $10,170.
**Includes all
mandatory campus fees, but not optional vehicle parking fee of $248 per semester.
***Health Insurance
premium is for 12 months.
If you plan to stay in the U.S. during the
summer break and/or take classes during the summer session,
you will need additional funds
to cover your expenses.
If dependents will accompany you in the U.S. the
minimum amount required to support them is $5,000 for a spouse and $3,000 per
child. The Affidavit of Financial Support must include these additional
amounts.
Financial assistance in the form of scholarships and tuition
waivers is available on a limited basis for international students. |
