This trip might be labeled an exploration of abandoned places.   Much of the trip involved exploring abandoned or soon to be abandoned mining/military areas, towns and settlements, and infrastructure (railroads and airfields) -- and reflecting on the relationships between disappearing economies, forgotten peoples, and nature. The trip basically consisted of exploring four separate areas in Utah and Nevada: 1) Southwest Utah area, 2) West Central Utah area, 3) East Central Nevada area, and 4) Southeast Nevada area. The two sets of webpages for the Utah segment are below, because I travel in Nevada much more than I do in Utah, the Nevada pictures are incorporate in with my other Nevada pages.
