If you double click the clip:
The source clip now appears in the viewer.
At this point you can use the controls much like the Log and Capture to move the playhead,
and fine-tune the clip to exactly the length you for that shot.
- You can use the left and right arrows on your keyboard to movie the clip frame-by-frame allowing those finely cut clips.
- Use the mark in and out points ("I" and "O" on your keyboard) to define the area you want to use.
- Either drag the clip (the area inside the viewer window) to the area on the timeline where you want the shot,
- or you can move the playhead of the timeline (by dragging the playhead left or right) to where you wan to insert the clip,
- and then drag the view clip to the canvas window.
- Hold the clip over the canvas window to see various options.
Then, you can do one of the following.
Edit in Viewer ∴ Edit in Timeline ∴ Helpful Items
