For those who do not have the time or skill level to play scholarship collegiate sports, we offer an alternative to stay in shape, meet new friends, and compete against CSU San Marcos and other college students. IM sports are as easy as signing up a team or coming in as a free agent and being picked up or put on a team. Club Sports (8 currently; list below) are a little more competitive and you must try out during open selection periods. These teams are STUDENT lead clubs that center around a sport that is helped administratively by ASI in many aspects. Students can join an existing club or try to start their own with approval and assistance from ASI. Come by the Cougar Rec Center in person to sign up. ASI Women's Club Soccer
GOT SKILLS? COME PLAY! Club Sports INFO For some of us, having fun means competing. Even if you are completely new to
a sport, you can have fun in a more competitive environment in Club Sports. Fill out an interest form if you would like more info from a specific club (please remember that tryouts are in late Spring and early Fall for most sports).
Funded teams recognized for Fall 2007
Other clubs: These clubs have been recognized in the past year or are in conditional status (in the process of being recognized).
ASI Competitive Club Sports provide opportunities for individuals to organize around a common competitive sport interest and allows for participation within and outside the university.
