MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
All ALCI students have access to the
CSU San Marcos Student Health and Counseling Services Center.
Students may make an appointment to see a doctor or a counselor by
calling 760-750-4915. Visit the ALCI Office if you need
assistance.
New students must complete the
ALCI Immunization Form. Ask
your doctor to complete the form before you come to the ALCI. Bring your
documents with you to New Student Orientation.
Measles (Rubeola) & Rubella
You must provide proof of full immunization against measles (rubeola)
and rubella. If you cannot prove that you have had the two immunization
injections, you must get the injections during your first semester at
the ALCI. The University Health Services Center gives these
immunizations. You may also bring a lab result from your home country
showing immunity to both rubella and rubeola.

Tuberculosis Skin Test
It is a very good idea to have proof that you are free from active
tuberculosis (TB). You can do this by providing: 1) proof of a negative
TB skin test within six months of arrival in the United States; or 2) a
chest x-ray dated within the last six months. You must show proof that
you are free from TB if you will transfer to a degree program at
California State University San Marcos, or any other college or
university.
If you are 18 or younger when you enter the ALCI, you must show proof that you are immunized for Hepatitis B (a three-vaccination process). If you do not have an official record of Hepatitis B immunization, you must arrange to begin the vaccinations during your first semester. The University Health Services Center provides this vaccination. You may also bring a lab result from your home country showing immunity to Hepatitis B.
