CAMPUS HOUSING FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

ATTENDING THE AMERICAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE INSTITUTE*

Our on-campus housing, University Village Apartments (UVA), is an apartment-style residence. Four to six students live in each apartment. To apply to UVA, ALCI students must plan to attend one complete semester or a full academic year. Second entry and part-time students are not eligible. ALCI students must apply early. UVA fills up quickly.

Each apartment includes:

Private or shared bedrooms.
A kitchen.
A furnished living area.
Furnished rooms.
Air-conditioning.
All utilities (local telephone, high-speed internet, and cable TV).

UVA is managed by a professional staff, which provides student activities, 24-hour student services, and quality maintenance. View a typical UVA apartment.

Cost for Summer 2009
$575 per month for a small shared bedroom
$700 per month for a large shared bedroom
$800 per month for a private bedroom

Cost for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010
**There is currently a waiting list for Fall 2009 students.**
$625 per month for a small shared bedroom
$800 per month for a large shared bedroom
$900 per month for a private bedroom

You must pay for housing in-full for the duration of your contract. Students will pay for housing and sign contracts during the first week of the semester. Meals are not included.

Contracts are issued for:

5 months (Fall or Spring semester),
10 months (Fall and Spring semester / academic year), or
12 months (full calendar year).

Summer 2009 Applicants: If your application is accepted by UVA, we will e-mail you additional information. At that time, you will be required to pay a $250 non-refundable service fee to officially reserve your room. This fee does not apply to your rental fee for the semester or year.

Fall 2009 Applicants: **There is currently a waiting list for Fall 2009 students.**
If your application is accepted by UVA, we will e-mail you additional information. At that time, you will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable service fee to officially reserve your room. This fee will be applied to your rental fee for the semester or year.
