CSUSM is located in the hills of San
Marcos, a small, friendly and safe community in beautiful
north
San Diego County. San Marcos is about 37 miles (60 km) north of downtown
San Diego and 100 miles (160 km) south of downtown Los Angeles.
The campus is close to Southern California beaches, mountains, and deserts, where you can swim, surf, hike, bicycle, golf, and ski. By car from San Marcos, the San Diego Zoo, Downtown San Diego, and Sea World are about a 40-minute drive; Disneyland is a one-hour drive; and Hollywood is a 120-minute drive. |
