Dr. Chu is an independent business management consultant and
university business course lecturer. He teaches “Strategic Planning
and Management in Global Environment” at MBA level and at
undergraduate level at California State University at San Marcos. He
also manages an executive seminars “Certificate in Global Commerce”
at CSUSM.
Dr. Chu has over 35 years of technical and business management
experience in the automotive component industry. His expertise
covers corporate strategic planning, innovation management;
international business development, new product introduction, and
company turn around.
Dr. Chu held a variety of senior executive positions in Cummins
Engine Company, the world’s leading independent diesel engine
manufacturer and Borg Warner Automotive, a premium auto component
company. He is responsible to establish Cummins as the most dominant
diesel engine company in China. He lived in Beijing, China from 1995
through 2000 managing BorgWarner’s business. He has successfully
established and managed licensing agreements, joint ventures, and
wholly-owned subsidiaries in China.
He served as consultant to companies wanting to develop and
establish business in China. And also served as board members of two
companies.
Dr. Chu holds a Ph.D. degree in engineering from University of
Wisconsin (1971). He completed the Stanford Executive Program (SEP)
in the summer of 1982. |
