Dr. Clark-Ibáñez joined the Sociology Department at CSUSM in the Fall of 2003. Her research interests are in education, childhood, immigration, inequality, qualitative methodology, visual sociology, gender, race, social relationships, and globalization.

In Fall 2008, she is teaching Introduction to Sociology (101) and Children's Human Rights in a Global Society (403). Professor Clark-Ibáñez will be on maternity leave for most of Spring 2009 but she will co-facilitate Sociology of Education (413) and Latino Communities (345). For 2009-2010, she plans to teach Relationships Across the Life Course (203), Introduction to Sociology (101), and Teaching Sociology (660). 

She enjoys working with students and is a recipient of Faculty Advocate Award from the Educational Opportunity Program and Student Support Services (2007).
