 ** ANNOUNCEMENT**

Effective June 1, 2008

Due to the California State budget cuts, the PACE Program at Cal State San Marcos is now closed to applications.

Welcome to the PACE Site!

The Program for Adult College Education is an upper-division program for working students and those who cannot take daytime classes. Students complete a four-year degree by taking primarily evening courses.  A limited number of early morning, Saturday, and/or on-line courses are also available for PACE students. PACE classes are the same as those taken by students pursuing their degrees through the traditional university format.

PACE Offers Priority Registration

PACE students are entitled to priority registration. Online and evening classes can be very popular, so priority registration can be a tremendous asset.

Majors Available through PACE

Currently the PACE program offers majors in:

  • History
  • Liberal Studies
  • Literature and Writing Studies (Literature Emphasis -- beginning Fall 05)
  • Sociology (Standard Concentration)
  • Social Sciences (the Sociology or History Primary Field is available through PACE; the Communication, History, Psychology or Sociology Secondary Fields are available through PACE)
  • Women's Studies

Please note that not all options within a major are available in the off-peak times.  Also, please note that a limited number of online courses are available.
